SNOWPROM Completes Commissioning of TechnoAlpin Snowmaking System at Moscow’s Reconstructed K75 Ski Jump

In November 2025, SNOWPROM completed the commissioning of a TechnoAlpin snowmaking system at the newly reconstructed K75 ski jump on Vorobyovy Gory (Sparrow Hills) in Moscow.

The project underwent a long journey from concept and technical design to delivery, installation, and commissioning. To achieve the best possible solution, consultations were held and experience was exchanged with operating organizations of various ski jump complexes in Moscow and Nizhny Tagil (Aist). The experience of snowmaking for ski jumps in Italy was also studied in collaboration with TechnoAlpin.

As a result, for the first time in Russia, a snowmaking scheme for a ski jump was implemented using TR9 fan snow generators on a 12-meter-long Arm console. This console allows for snow coverage on the steepest part of the landing hill without the use of a winch or mobile snow gun, simplifying and optimizing the snowmaking process.

Several non-standard tasks were solved during the project’s implementation. For example, a section of the existing system’s main cast-iron pipeline was replaced using Russian Mepos pipe and connected to imported Alpinal pipe. Another complexity was that the landing hill itself is above ground level, as it is situated on a metal and concrete trestle. This required us to enlarge the console’s standard foundation and extend it to the necessary height.

The grand opening of the large ski jumping hill took place on December 25th with the participation of the Mayor of Moscow.
