In September 2024, SNOWPROM Group’s specialists commenced the installation of a ropeway system manufactured by RUSLET, a Russian ropeway manufacturer. The facility is a part of the Mamison Resort, located in the Alagirsky District of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, recognized as one of the most ambitious projects in the Republic’s history.

The project is being implemented in the special economic area of “Mamison”, which is intended for tourism and recreation. The project will be operational year-round. During the winter months, tourists will have access to the ski infrastructure, which will include a variety of ski slopes and a snow park.

At present, the SNOWPROM Group specialists have reached the final stage of installation of the ropeways: 8-seater gondola ropeway and 6-seater chairlift, both are detachable type.

The gondola ropeway promises to be the longest gondola-type ropeway in the country – 3.2 km – and has unique technical features. Taking into account the challenging terrain, it will be erected on 21 towers, between which 85 eight-seater cabins will be traveling.

A 1.7 km long chairlift will be erected on 13 towers.

The total length of the ski slopes of the resort will be 18.8 km.

The ropeway system consists of two brand-new ropeways:

M1:

• Horizontal length – 3240.913m
• Vertical rise – 888.0m
• Capacity – 2000pph
• Drive speed – 6.0m/s
• Type of carrier – 8-seater detachable gondola
• Number of carriers – 85pcs

M2:

• Horizontal length – 1687.42m
• Vertical rise – 512.2m
• Capacity – 2000pph
• Drive speed – 5.0m/s
• Type of carrier – 6-seater detachable chairs
• Number of carriers – 70pcs

The new ropeways comply with the latest safety requirements, providing a high level of reliability.
